5 steps to being confident in your own skin

With everything that is going on in the world we sometimes feel uneasy within our own bodies or intuition. I for one have experienced some changes within my body as I am getting older that I wasn’t expecting, but everyday I learn and embrace myself for who I am. Yes it is easier said then done, but knowing you are trying everyday and not alone makes it that much easier.

Here are a few tips I live by and that have been working for me:

  • Embracing yourself for who you are, waking up in the morning and giving yourself a compliment goes a long way. Wether it is, from doing you makeup to perfection, wearing a new outfit or even just telling yourself I am beautiful inside and out.
  • Do not wait for others to give you compliments to feel good about yourself. Sometimes its hard we get carried away with society, popstars and feel that the only validation we need to feel good comes from others, but it is not.
  • Push yourself to show off more confidence then you may be feeling you have inside. Eventually you will beleive in it yourself.
  • Know your self worth, no matter how many curve balls you have been thrown in your life, knowing yourself worth will help you achieve all your goals.
  • Avoid doubt, this is something we all do, we doubt ourselves and our strengths.
  • Accept your weaknesses. We all have weaknesses and sometimes it is ok take a step back to rethink things before going through with it.
