Bridgerton is a must watch!
Bridgerton is a newly released series on Netflix based on the adaptation of Julia Quinn’s bestselling romance series. It is Shonda Rhimes’s first Netflix show and after watching “Scandal” “Grey Anatomy” and “How to get away with murder” I just couldn’t pass on this one. Rhimes is one of the highest-paid showrunners on television she knows what her audiences want. Dreamy, Suspense, conflicts, women empowerment, and just brilliance. The storylines to all her shows have kept us on our toes thought-out many series.
Bridgerton is just like those other series. It takes place in England’s early 1800s Regency period. Don’t be fooled by the characters, they have a lot they are deceiving. Just like Gossip Girl, there is a narrator in the show who exposes all of the hierarchy’s deep dark secrets. Yet no one knows who in the town is actually doing the exposure.
From a power-driven mother that is trying to marry off her children to a dark yet dreamy marriage with a duke. The characters may be wearing ladylike fabrics and layers but they’ll all be getting down and dirty. The men are fighting for power over their kingdom and are not letting anything step in their way.
It is something you need to watch to get the full experience of a newly GREAT Netflix series which I hope will continue for many seasons.
