A big question I got after giving birth to my second child, was if it was easier this time around. . A lot of times I didn’t really know what to answer, yes it is easier because it’s not the unknown but at the same time you have your other child who also requires a lot of your attention. So you’re kind of stuck in the middle of splitting your time and also giving them both the attention they need when they need it .
As for the diaper changes, the drinking, the crying and the napping, that for me was something that was easier. Since my kids are 18 months apart even the lack of sleep wasn’t bad.
Learning a new little personality is some thing that did take a little extra time for me because my attention was always split in two, but once I knew his personality everything went well. Also both my kids are very very different.
Another thing that I realized and that is happening right now is my second born is working hard to keep up with his big brother. So the crawling, the trying to walk, eating faster and wanting to play with all his brothers toys is something that causes him to get frustrated because the can’t keep up. Soon enough it will happen!
Although some days seem overwhelming and it does get tiring, I would not change it for the world. They are both two different and amazing little boys discovering the world in their own way!
