  • - 1 pound spaghetti
  • - 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • - 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • - Salt, to taste
  • - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • - Fresh basil, chopped (optional)
  • - Olive oil, for drizzling

1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic butter and toss to coat. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water as needed until it reaches your desired consistency.
4. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired. Drizzle with olive oil before serving.

Enjoy your delicious Garlic Pasta!
