Are you getting nervous that your hospital bag isn’t ready yet? Don’t be, after my doing this twice there are a a lot of things you learn that you really do not need to bring. So instead of bringing luggages you can simply bring one bag.

- Clothes to wear when you go home
- a pair of PJs
- Slippers
- FOR YOUR PARTNER
- Socks
- Underwear

- TOILETRY FOR BOTH
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Lip Balm
- Advil or Tylenol for your partner
- Pregnancy underwear and pads
- Hairbrush if needed
- Hair ties
- Empty bags for dirty clothes
- Skin care routine I never brought any of these but for some people it is a necessity
- Glasses and Contacts if you need them
- ELECTRONICS
- Phone charger
- Ear phones if needed
- Tablet if needed
- Snacks and drinks. You can bring yourself some snacks and drinks incase you do get hungry or thirsty throughout your stay, because labour can be very long for some.
- BABY
- Onesies 4-5 long or short sleeve depending on season. This goes under their PJs
- Pj onesies
- Socks
- Hats
- Mittens
- Diapers newborn size
- Water wipes
- Face clothes or bibs for spit up during feeding
- Swaddle blankets
- Going-home outfit
- Baby milk of choice if not breastfeeding
- Empty bag for dirty clothes
- Car seat for when you leave
That is all, although it still feels like a lot after the first time going to the hospital and carrying a million and one things you will realize what is the most important for you and your baby and partner.
