mom-to-be

Are you getting nervous that your hospital bag isn’t ready yet? Don’t be, after my doing this twice there are a a lot of things you learn that you really do not need to bring. So instead of bringing luggages you can simply bring one bag.

  • Your hospital paperwork, and ID and registration papers if you registered before
  • FOR YOURSELF
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Bra
  • Clothes to wear when you go home
  • a pair of PJs
  • Slippers
  • FOR YOUR PARTNER
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Clothes to wear when you go home
  • a pair of PJs
  • Slippers
  • TOILETRY FOR BOTH
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Lip Balm
  • Advil or Tylenol for your partner
  • Pregnancy underwear and pads
  • Hairbrush if needed
  • Hair ties
  • Empty bags for dirty clothes
  • Skin care routine I never brought any of these but for some people it is a necessity
  • Glasses and Contacts if you need them
  • ELECTRONICS
  • Phone charger
  • Ear phones if needed
  • Tablet if needed
  • Snacks and drinks. You can bring yourself some snacks and drinks incase you do get hungry or thirsty throughout your stay, because labour can be very long for some.
  • BABY
  • Onesies 4-5 long or short sleeve depending on season. This goes under their PJs
  • Pj onesies
  • Socks
  • Hats
  • Mittens
  • Diapers newborn size
  • Water wipes
  • Face clothes or bibs for spit up during feeding
  • Swaddle blankets
  • Going-home outfit
  • Baby milk of choice if not breastfeeding
  • Empty bag for dirty clothes
  • Car seat for when you leave

That is all, although it still feels like a lot after the first time going to the hospital and carrying a million and one things you will realize what is the most important for you and your baby and partner.
