Some of the things you will just have to live with when becoming a parent

Remember those days when you used to just pick up and leave, or clean you house and it stayed nice and clean for more then a whole 5 minutes? Well, not anymore these little humans are now in your life and all of a sudden everything changes, your routine, your way of thinking and also your total MOM instinct kicks in. Here are just a few things that have forever changed for me ( and probably every other parent out there):

  • Your house will forever NEVER be clean again.
  • Walking in your house has now become an obstacle course, making sure you don’t trip and fall on a toy.
  • The kitchen is NEVER clean like NEVER.
  • Dishes are a 24/7 job.
  • Laundry never ends…like NEVER.
  • You have become a chef, it’s like you never leave the kitchen
  • A nice long shower DOES NOT exist
  • Peeing alone…NOPE
  • The word “don’t touch that” has been repeated 1000 times a DAY
  • Sleeping in will never happen again.
  • Cold coffee is now your favorite.
  • Leaving the house always NEEDS planning.

After all these changes are accepted you will then have no problem with your day. I laugh now but in the very beginning it is very hard to let go of certain things you were used to. So don’t stress too much about the cleaning or the dishes or a messy room, and enjoy the time with your kids while they are still kids.
