Let’s Clean for the week. Let’s be honest your house is never as clean as you want it to be. and if it is, well that lasts about an hour. With two little monsters running around all the time it is hard to keep up but this is how I plan my week, just to make it a little easier. Since I work all week it is definitely hard for me to keep up with the cleaning and I personally don’t like taking one full day away from my kids just to clean example a Saturday or Sunday. So I split me week. You can read more on some tips and tricks here —> juggling work and family life.

CLEAN SCHEDULE

Monday: Main Bathroom clean up just before I take my night time shower. Tidy up the sink area, clean the toilet bowl and counter and prepare a load of laundry and put one in the dryer for the next morning.

Tuesday: Living room cleaning, when my little guys are fast asleep I like to tidy up the living room. I sweep and clean under the couch and tidy up the mess, so it is clean for the next morning. Also prepare a load of laundry and put one in the dryer for the next morning.

Wednesday: I tidy up all the bedrooms, so for example when I am changing my kids and getting them ready for bedtime I tidy up their room and place all the clean clothes away from Monday and Tuesday and put away any toys that have been thrown around. I also like to refill my diapers and wipes. For my room, I like to just pick up anything that was thrown in my room, empty my hamper and put away the clean clothes. Again I also prepare a load of laundry and put one in the dryer for the next morning.

Thursday: second bathroom clean up. I like to clean my second bathroom just before my shower. refill anything that is empty .Tidy up the sink area, clean the toilet bowl and counter. It is also garbage night on Thursdays so I prepare my bags of garbage and recycling. Also prepare a load of laundry and put one in the dryer for the next morning.

Friday: The kitchen! Even though every night I tidy up my kitchen for the next day on Fridays I like to do a better cleaning. Put away anything that doesn’t belong on my counter that was left during the week. Clean my sink good. Throw and change all my sponges. Clean my dish holder. Clean my oven with a oven top cleaner. Wipe down my cupboards and fridge. Clean out my fridge for any bad food. Also prepare a load of laundry and put one in the dryer for the next morning.

Saturday & Sunday: Depending on the weekend and what we have planned I like to take one day to do an activity or visiting with the kids and the other day to cook and clean. It doesn’t always work out the way I want to but I try to make it work. I Lightly clean everything again on my cooking day when they are napping because  nothing really stays clean with young kids. So at least if I can have everything organized and prepared for monday morning that is all that I ask to get done.
