Your friends call, they are on their way to your house for a playdate with the kids and you have NO desserts. Although that probably wouldn’t happen, just because to see your friends takes an extreme amount of planning! That never works out because the day before your outing one of your kids are always sick (lol).
So let’s just say why don’t you try this chocolate chip loaf because, It is fast, easy and just amazing! I can also guarantee that your children will LOVE IT!
This loaf also freezes super well so you can be prepared for those unexpected visitors. I would say up to 3 weeks in the freezer.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (room temp)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 cup of mini chocolate chips semi sweet or milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- With some butter grease your rectangle pan 8×4 or 9×5. (loaf size)
- Using a mixer, mix together milk, egg, sugar, butter and baking powder.
- Gradually add in your flour, keep mixing.
- Add in chocolate chips.
- Once everything is mixed well together, add into your pan.
- Cook for 40-55 minutes. Check with a toothpick to see if the inside is cooked.
Notes
Depending your oven the cook time varies, start looking at around 40 minutes and add 5-10 minutes as you go. My oven takes 52 minutes.
