  • 400g of horse minced meat
  • Pastene already seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Sliced Bread
  • Eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine all meat together in a bowl. Beef, Pork, Veal and Horse. You do not need to use all these different kinds of meats, you can choose two or three depending your preference.
  2. Add 2 eggs.
  3. Add 2 cups of breadcrumbs  or enough that the meat is not too sticky but you can make it into balls.
  4. Add 2 Tsp of Garlic powder or salt whichever you have. OPTIONAL
  5. Salt and Pepper to taste. If you use garlic salt, don’t add more salt.
  6. Take 2 slices of bread and pick out the center into mini pieces, add in the mixture. OPTIONAL
  7. Add in half a cup of Parmesan cheese.
  8. Mix all together with your hands to make sure everything is well combined.
  9. Shape into 2 inch balls.
  10. You can cook it 3 different ways, fried, baked or air fried.
  11. FRYING: prepare a pan with vegetable oil add about half a pan full. Heat on low/med. Add in meatballs and fry till cooked through.
  12. BAKED: prepare a sheet pan, spray with oil so the meatballs don’t stick. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Cook meatballs for 25 minutes or until cooked through.
  13. AIR FRYER: Spray air fryer tray with a bit of oil, add in meatballs, make sure they do not overlap. Cook for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

Notes

Once cooled you can keep them in the fridge in a tupperware for about 3-4 days or freeze them up to 2 months. Defrost to eat. When making your homemade pasta sauce you can also add the frozen meatballs to your sauce and let it cook with the sauce.
